The 2013 Polaris Music Prize winner will be determined on September 23 at the very swank Carlu in Toronto.<\/p>\n

If you’re not part of Metric’s entourage or can’t convince the doormen you’re actually a member of Godspeed You! Black Emperor the easiest way to ensure you’ll get to attend the Polaris Gala is to buy a ticket<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There will, however, be other ways to see the various acts from the 2013 Short List<\/a> perform on stage and jockey for that giant $30,000 novelty cheque.<\/p>\n

The Fred Perry Toronto store is doing 5 Polaris tickets drops. Follow @polarisprize<\/a> and @fredperryTO<\/a> for the ticket drop announcement every Monday, starting August 19. BRBR, an essential part of the Canadian indie music scene, is offering 4 exclusive tickets to attend the Polaris Gala. The contest will run September 4-18 on BRBR’s official Facebook page<\/a>. Stay tuned for further details!<\/p>\n

\nHeartstringsTV<\/a> is teaming up with Big Things Productions<\/a> and MusiCounts<\/a> on August 17 at The Rivoli in Toronto.
