Artist Bio

Since their formation in 2015, Pretty has been a prominent fixture in Toronto’s psychedelic music scene. After multiple tours in the UK, playing festivals there and in North America, and opening for bands such as the Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Budos Band, Improvement Movement, and Delicate Steve, Pretty is ending the summer of 2026 with the release of their second studio album Where You’ll Be When the World Is Gone. With a modern psychedelic sound and lyrics which wander the labyrinth of contemporary existence with defiance, angst, and solidarity, Pretty uses the past in order to comprehend our present. Known for their charismatic on-stage performances, Pretty brings a powerful force of celebration and catharsis to audiences everywhere. As drummer Morgan Zych puts it, “Instead of chewing up nostalgia and retro pop culture, Pretty vomits up all of our digestive enzymes and degrades our influences in front of a live audience. This is the way of the mushroom. This is our way.”
