RACS is generously sponsoring the Long List this year. Polaris likes giving great artists money,a nd so does RACS. RACS stands for Recording Artists' Collecting Society. They are a division of ACTRA. You know, the actor’s union? But they are separate things.

If your band’s record has been played on commercial radio, RACS will collect and distribute money owed to you on your behalf. There’s no fee to sign up. And they also collect in territories like the UK, Ireland, Spain, Denmark, Brazil, Netherlands and Spain.
