Tickets for the 2014 Polaris Gala being held at the stately Carlu in Toronto on September 22 went on sale today via Ticketfly. Go HERE to purchase tickets.

The Gala, which will be hosted by actor and comedian Jay Baruchel, will feature a number of performances and appearances from the 10 acts who made the 2014 Polaris Short List. A full list of performers appearing at the Gala will be announced on August 19.

Public tickets to last year’s Gala sold out and there will be less than 120 available for purchase this year. Cost for the public general admission balcony tickets will be $50, tax included. There’ll also be an option to buy a $55 ticket where the extra $5 will be donated to MusiCounts.

MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), is helping to keep music alive in schools across Canada. MusiCounts’ mission is to ensure that children in Canada, regardless of socio-economic circumstances or cultural background, have access to a music program through their school. MusiCounts includes Band Aid musical instrument grants, the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award, MusiCounts TD Community Music Grants and Scholarships.  Help MusiCounts put instruments into the hands of children who need it most.
