Join us for an intimate evening of conversation, creativity, and community as the Polaris Music Prize and Hart House proudly co-present “Hart House Producers’ Circle” featuring one of Toronto’s most innovative voices in hip-hop, Clairmont The Second. Known for his self-produced, genre-defying sound and deeply introspective lyrics, Clairmont The Second brings a bold, authentic voice to Canada’s music scene.
A self-taught producer, filmmaker, and multi-time Polaris Music Prize nominee, Clairmont has built a reputation built on his uncompromising artistry. This special event offers a curated listening experience featuring selected tracks from Clairmont’s rich discography, offering insight into his evolution as an artist and producer. The evening is less about performance and more about process; it’s a dialogue between artist and audience. Clairmont will join the Hart House Producers’ Circle for an intimate conversation on his creative process, musical influences, and the journey of building a career from the ground up.
As part of our commitment to fostering emerging talent, we’re also opening the floor to attendees who wish to share their own original music. Whether you’re a bedroom producer, seasoned beatmaker, or just getting started, you’ll have the opportunity to play your track live for the audience, and for Clairmont himself.
Come ready to listen, learn, and connect. This is more than a showcase; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the power of hip-hop to build bridges between generations of artists.

Clairmont The Second
Born in 1997 in Weston, Clairmont The Second is a visionary artist whose creativity knows no limits. He is a vocalist/producer, composer/engineer, director/editor, & filmmaker/photographer. With a style that echoes both the past and the future, Clairmont invites listeners into a celestial environment shaped by sonic curiosity, deep introspection, and raw honesty. He pushes boundaries to craft immersive, expansive soundscapes, with albums that unfold like cinematic film scores. His composition credits include “Nine Films About Technology,” a 2017 Toronto Raptors Playoffs Feature, a Nia Centre commercial, the self-directed “Full Circle” film, and multiple other projects that further prove his ability to shape atmosphere and emotion through sound. Artists from across the globe have been drawn to his ability to blend tradition with the unknown; lending his sound to artists such as Kali Uchis, Dylan Sinclair, DijahSB, Shi Wisdom, Spek Won, and many more. These works not only highlight his range, but also ground his ethereal sound in tangible, culturally relevant moments. With multiple Polaris Prize Long List nominations, a 2018 Juno nomination, the 2019 Prism Prize Hi-Fidelity Award, and many more accolades, Clairmont’s legend continues to unfold, one note at a time — crafting a future where art is as limitless as imagination itself.

Marco Adamovic, Moderator
Marco Adamović, known musically as Vic Adamo, is a Toronto-based artist, producer, poet, and educator whose work bridges music, storytelling, and community learning. A first-generation Canadian of Yugoslav descent, he crafts genre-defying soundscapes rooted in hip-hop, indie, and experimental traditions. As an educator and facilitator, Marco supports emerging artists through mentorship, arts-based programming, and post-secondary engagement. His creative practice explores identity, memory, and social change, using music as a form of cultural dialogue. His forthcoming EP, The Circle (September 2025), continues this work, weaving personal and political narratives into bold, emotionally charged sonic landscapes.
Hart House
Since it first opened its doors in 1919, Hart House has sought to function as a place where students—as well as faculty, staff, alumni and members of the broader community—find welcome and unique ways to connect with each other and the broader world through engagement with the arts, dialogue and wellness. Hart House Hip Hop Education (est. 2019) supports learning through the lens of hip-hop culture, fostering creativity, social justice, and community engagement. Through workshops, performances, and dialogues, it empowers students and artists to explore identity, equity, and expression, bridging academic and cultural spaces between the University of Toronto and the wider community.
Polaris Music Prize
Polaris Music Prize is a Canadian charitable arts organization celebrating 20 years of honouring music as art. With 700+ artists championed, over $1.4M in prize and artist fees awarded, and a jury of over 200 music critics and curators, Polaris protects space for boundary-pushing music and fosters a deeper national music culture.
