Polaris Gala Salon Tour: Edmonton, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal, New York
We’re less than a month away from the Polaris Gala and Polaris Peep Show happening on Sept. 24. That means it’s time to step up the arguing.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be hosting our patented Polaris Salons with the help of our good friends Rdio in six separate cities — Saskatoon, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and if we can sneak across the border successfully, New York City.
Just like a bat signal flashed from the top of a Gotham skyscraper, these Salons are a call to arms for deep music nerds everywhere. Officially, there’ll be panels made up of Polaris jurors from each city discussing who they think will win the 2012 Polaris Music Prize, but less officially, it’s also a chance for any enthused members of the public to also come down and get involved in the debate. And potentially win prizes for doing so.
