Polaris Music Prize is Seeking New Board Members

Polaris Music Prize is seeking a maximum of three (3) individuals for its Board of Directors to help lead the organization. The Director role is an unpaid, volunteer position and requires an average of 2-5 hours commitment bi-monthly. Deadline for applications is November 20, 2025. Individuals will be elected at Polaris Music Prize’s Annual General Meeting in January 2026.
We are recruiting people who support the mission, vision, and core purpose of the organization and believe in the value of music as art. Polaris Music Prize’s Board of Directors must represent the diversity of Canada, and we strongly encourage individuals from historically marginalized communities to apply.
- Polaris Music Prize specifically welcomes applications from identified high priority areas, including:
- Two-Spirit, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities
- outh over the age of 18
- Applicants located in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon
- Individuals with sponsorship, government relations, and event management experience
Previous Board experience is an asset, and we recognize lived experience as a valuable attribute.
