Print perfect: Introducing the Polaris 2011 posters

· by Polaris Music Prize

In our opinion, one of the niftiest things about the Polaris Prize is that every nominated album gets its own commemorative art poster especially commissioned from some of the country’s best illustrators and designers.

All the nominees are presented with the framed large-scale artworks during the gala (a pretty great consolation prize, even if they don’t win!), but music and visual-art fans can also take home one of these beautiful graphic posters via our online pre-order here.

The limited-edition silk-screened reproductions measure 12″ x 16″ and will ship Sept. 26 (following the Sept. 19 gala – so you'll already know the winner by then… and might want to order one of their posters as well!).

The 2011 prints retail for $15, and you can still nab one of the few remaining 2010 posters for only $10.

Watch this space for more about this year’s participating artists and the inspiration behind their eye-catching imagery.
