Welcome to the Polaris Music Submission Portal
The purpose of this submission portal is to create a pool of music the 200+ members of the Polaris Jury may consider for the annual Polaris Album Prize and SOCAN Polaris Song Prize. These awards honour the best Canadian music released each year based on artistic merit, without regard for commercial consideration.
We are currently accepting submissions for our #Polaris2026 season.
What Happens to Music that Has Been Submitted?
Submitting music to the Polaris Portal does not mean a piece of music is nominated for Polaris. It does mean that members of the Polaris jury will have the opportunity to fairly evaluate this submitted music. If a juror determines a submitted piece of music has exceptional merit it may become an official “Recommendation” and will be included on the relevant #Polaris2026 Album or Song ballot. Artists whose music reaches the Recommendation phase may be contacted by Polaris with additional requests.
How the Submission Portal Works:
Users looking to submit music will be asked to navigate a simple four step process to get their music heard, including creating their profile, inputting artist information (hometown, genre, etc), inputting music information (cover image, DSP links, social links, etc) and inputting contact information.
