Artist Bio
Elizabeth Royall is an Ottawa-based folk and soft rock singer-songwriter with a sound rooted in the ’70s and ’90s. Her accolades include being a semi-finalist in the 2020 International Songwriting Competition for her debut single “Leave Me,” winning SOCAN’s Young Canadian Songwriter Award in 2023 for her single “Numb,” and earning a 2025 Ottawa Capital Music Award nomination for Newcomer of the Year presented by OMIC and the National Arts Centre. In the last year, she has performed at Ottawa Bluesfest, joined the 2025 cohort of SOCAN’s TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship, and recorded her debut EP entitled “You See An Angel.” Her music blends the timeless sounds of Fleetwood Mac, Mazzy Star, Jeff Buckley, and The Cranberries, creating something that feels both nostalgic and new.
