Polaris Salons Announced For Ottawa, Brooklyn, Saskatoon, Victoria, Montreal, Toronto
We here at Polaris Music Prize like to think of ourselves as one big, loving family. But like any family, sometimes we fight.
The difference between us and most families is that we do our fighting in public. And when we do fight, it’s about albums. Specifically the albums on this year’s Polaris Music Prize Short List.
So it’s with a certain amount of gleeful “Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!” schoolyard enthusiasm that we’re excited to announce a number of upcoming Polaris Salons across North America. Taking place between Sept. 9 – Sept. 25 we’ll gather Polaris jurors and knowledgeable friends in Ottawa, Brooklyn, Victoria, Montreal and Toronto for some hearty debate about which album deserves to win the 2014 Polaris Music Prize.
These Polaris Salons are sponsored by the Recording Artists’ Collecting Society (RACS), a division of ACTRA who work to make sure eligible recording artists get the hot cash money they deserve.
